A little corner of my mind
My Dark Place is my little corner of the web where I share some of my artwork and creations. Some are illuminated, some are animated. All are 3 dimensional. I make the frames using a 3D printer. All drawings are done by myself and all the artwork are my own creations. Some are watercolour and ink. Others are ink drawings coloured using Gimp and Inkscape.

The light side and the dark side. My work draws inspiration from the complexity of human emotions, interweaving dark elements with whimsical fantasy that hopefully speaks to a diverse audience.
Like lots of us, I've done battle with a few demons throughout my life. I've had lots of long walks with the black dog and spent some time on the other side of the looking glass. The dark side reflects some of these struggles. They are a bit tongue in cheek but do make the point that whilst we've moved on from horrors of the Victorian asylums, we probably haven't moved along as far as we would like to think.
The light side is my natural optimistic aspect. I've always loved fantasy and nature. I love the beauty of our imaginations and the childlike joy of creating little elfish creatures and forest scenes and putting together lights and mushrooms and creating little pieces of fantastical art.
How I create these
Utilizing original artwork and 3D technology. Each piece combines artistry with innovative design to create an immersive experience.
Pictures are illuminated using USB-A LED lights, powered via a mains USB plug. Frames are constructed from PLA and branded with my logo. The image below right, shows how the pictures are constructed.
